Daniel Negreanu fell short of his eighth WSOP bracelet and Viktor Blom missed another chance at his first as Ryan Bambrick played spoiler in the $10K Omaha8 Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker.
Blom finished fourth and Negreanu suffered a near miss in second in Bambrick's second WSOP win.
"Feels good," Bambrick told us after the win. But it wasn't just the bracelet. Bambrick and Negreanu have history.
"You know, he made a YouTube video where he was playing a hand against me online. It was blind vs. blind."
Negreanu took his blind, but it was enough to start a revenge story. "Ever since then I've wanted to get him back. I finally did."

Never a doubt
Bambrick took control early in a final day that returned with five players. Blom entered the day as chip leader, but he ceded the title to Bambrick for good in the opening round of the day and faded to a fourth-place finish.
Negreanu had an up-and-down day. He started in the middle of the pack, but he could not keep pace with Bambrick, who swallowed a good portion of fifth-place finisher Hunter McClelland's stack.
Blom was out next, another victim of Bambrick, and the champ continued to chip up until Ofir Mor's elimination in third place.
The sequence left just Negreanu and Bambrick at the end, with the seven-time WSOP champion under the thumb of a significant chip deficit. Negreanu had a brief hope spot after a slow start to heads-up play, but Bambrick answered back and closed the door for his second bracelet.
Negreanu and Blom fell short, but the $10K Omaha8 Championship still deposited a big pile of points from its top finishers. Blom scored 72 points with his fourth-place finish, while Maxx Coleman added 52 for finishing sixth. Ben Lamb had 22 points for ninth, and Joao Vieira led a group of five players with 12 points. The 217 entrants added two bonus points for players in the top 18 finishers.
