No Gamble, No Future continued its Season 7 run on Tuesday with another episode of $200/$400 ($400) no-limit hold'em cash game action. While the lineup featured a few new faces – those of Stanley Tang, Andrew Pacheco, and Andy Kim – an action-hungry Andrew Robl headlined the episode as he returned to the felt alongside Garrett Adelstein, Justin Gavri, and Shawn Madden.
In the first three episodes of the season, Robl was the driving force behind the action – and the status quo remained largely unchanged through the fourth episode. Within the first ten minutes, he found himself involved in two six-figure pots.
'Oops'
The first, against Tang, came courtesy of a $3,200 triple straddle. From the button, Robl raised to $9,000 and Tang defended his straddle with
. The
flop saw both players connect – Robl with top pair and Tang with a flush draw. Robl fired $7,000 into the $21,400 in the middle and Tang quickly raised to $30,000. After a brief tank, Robl matched the raise to bring in the
turn. Tang quickly moved all-in for his remaining $85,200 and Robl snap-called.
"Oops," said Tang, with a wry smile.
Both players agreed to run two river cards, but neither came to Tang's aid and the entire $251,800 pot went Robl's way.
The second, against Gavri, also came courtesy of the $3,200 triple straddle. After looking down at as the first player to act, Gavri raised to $9,000. When the action folded around to him in the straddle, Robl peeled
.
"I'm a defender," he said as he threw calling chips across the betting line.
On the flop, Robl opted to lead into his opponent – firing $6,000 into the $21,400 pot. Gavri responded with a raise to $22,000 before Robl moved all-in over the top for the rest of it. Gavri wasted no time in making the call and the two players agreed to run it twice. In a somewhat shocking turn of events, Robl, like Tang in the prior hand, was unable to improve on either runout and the $213,400 pot went Gavri's way.
