The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona Main Event continued Tuesday as 205 remaining players returned to the Casino Barcelona for Day 3 action.
After a full day of play, 67 players remain in the hunt for the title and the €1,370,050 first-place prize – including 2015 EPT Barcelona champion and poker legend John Juanda.
Brazil's Fabricio Nociolini leads the way with more than 2.5M chips, followed by the Netherlands' Joris Ruijs at 2.1M and Romania's Stefan Alexandru Toderita at 1.9M.
Juanda heads into Day 4 with an above-average stack – not quite as healthy as the tournament leaders, but still plenty of ammunition to work with. And in Juanda's hands, those chips will be put to good use.
It's been more than a decade since his €1,022,593 win at EPT Barcelona and when play begins tomorrow, he'll have a shot to take a further step towards a second.
If Juanda manages to repeat history, he'll join the sparse ranks of poker players who have won two EPT Main Event titles. Presently, only three players have achieved the feat: Victoria Coren Mitchell, the first to do so, Mikalai Pobal, and, most recently, Mike Watson.
Nacho Barbero eliminated late on
Throughout Day 3, several notable names fell by the wayside, including: Jose Ignacio 'Nacho' Barbero (69th, €19,900), Michel Molenaar (87th, €17,250), Alexandre Reard (99th, €15,050), PokerStars Ambassador Parker 'tonkaaaap' Talbot (128th, €13,100), Mathew Frankland (168th, €11,400), Barny Boatman (182nd, €11,400), Nick Palma (188th, €9,900), and Congya Zhang (192nd, €9,900).

Six Pick 3 players still hunting
When Day 4 play begins, six of the PokerOrg Pick 3 fantasy competition draft picks will return to battle. If any of the players listed below are on your team, you're doing great.
And if you've somehow got more than one on your squad, you're flying.
The Netherlands' Ruijs leads the Pick 3 contingent with the second-largest stack in play while the UK's Mark Teltscher – an EPT Main Event champion himself – Michael Dwyer, and Brock Wilson are all clustered on middling stacks. Antoine Labat and Casimir Seire managed to bag up for the night, but they'll both return for Day 4 in need of a serious spin up.
