In the latest iteration of Hustler Casino Live's High Stakes Friday cash game, all eyes were on Kristen Foxen as she made her second appearance on the show. Before the cards were in the air, however, HCL regular and self-proclaimed King of LA Nik 'Airball' Arcot took to the social media streets to antagonize Foxen with his belief that "tourney players all suck," and that Foxen's presence in the game was "free money."
While Foxen didn't engage with the trash talk – opting instead to let her play do the talking for her (more on that below) – Chance Kornuth came to her defense and proposed a wager: $10,000 that Foxen would win more than Arcot. It took him a while to respond, but Arcot agreed and the bet was on. When the dust was settled, Foxen showed a small profit of $17,100. Arcot, on the other hand, ended the game in a $399,900 hole.
And if the bet wasn't enough of a decisive indicator – we've got the hand above to make it all the more clear.
The six-bet jam heard 'round the world
Foxen kicked off the action with the first of the multiple raises that went in before the flop, juicing it up to $800 with in the lojack. When the action folded to him on the button, Arcot bumped it up to $4,000 with
. As the NFL-centered table talk swirled around her, Foxen took her time before cutting out a four-bet to $11,000.
Arcot briefly stared her down before inquiring about her chip stacks. Then he fired in a quick five-bet to $28,000.
While Foxen tried to think through the spot, a round of shots arrived at the table and she had to contend not only with her decision, but also the clinking of glasses directly in front of her.
Ryan Feldman, co-owner and producer of the show, noted the distraction with a laugh and said, "Kristen's in the tank and we're drinking around her."
Foxen, much to her credit, was unfazed by the merriment. Somehow, she saw Arcot's final raise for what it was: a bluff.
And then she stuck it in his eye – Luke Schwartz style, but without the grating British accent or the profane showboating – with an all-in jam for her $104,300 stack.
Arcot looked back at his cards one final time before returning them to the dealer. As the table talk continued, Foxen quietly stacked up the chips – with the slightest of smirks present on her face.
