ACR Poker’s CEO Phil Nagy (pictured above) would not be a great candidate for an episode of Undercover Boss. Over the years Nagy has often made himself a visible and recognizable spokesperson for the site and the Winning Poker Network, for better or worse, regularly appearing in promotions for the site as well as playing live everywhere from WSOP Paradise to the Triton Poker Tour.

And now his presence at the online tables is likely to become more frequent with the launch last month of Phil’s Thrill, a weekly online tournament at ACR Poker where Nagy has promised to make appearances at the tables alongside various big name ambassadors such as Chris Moneymaker and Chris Moorman.

The tournament — running every Sunday at 2:30pm ET — has a high roller buy-in of $10,300, making it the biggest weekly tourney in the history of the site.

Where big money is on the line you’ll often get big players; a fact that ACR Poker is recognizing with the move to live-stream each Phil’s Thrill final table, starting this Sunday, August 17.

The full stream treatment

These final tables will be streamed on the site’s Twitch channel with full commentary from ACR Poker ambassador Rob Kuhn, who will be roping in well-known guests from the poker world to give the stream the full marquee treatment.

“I’m excited to get involved and share the excitement of Phil’s Thrill final table action live on stream with the poker community,” said Kuhn, upon the announcement of the news. “Playing a final table is always special, but doing it live in front of thousands of fans takes the adrenaline to a whole new level.”

First up in the booth this Sunday is multiple WSOP bracelet-winner Dylan Linde, an experienced winner with over $13M in career tournament earnings, who is coming off a summer in which he made three WSOP final tables and won over $2M in the $50K PLO High Roller event in Las Vegas.

Phil’s Thrill has seen fields grow since its early July launch, with regular numbers of 45-65 creating prizepools around the half-million-dollar mark. Last Sunday’s event saw Nagy and Moorman both reach the final table, the latter finishing second for $118K.

Want to make an appearance at the streamed final table and play for big money, live on Twitch? Entry is $10,300, but biweekly direct satellites to play Phil’s Thrill also run at ACR Poker for $1,050, with more entries available via a series of steps tournaments starting at $3.15.
