The Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) has announced its Ladies Poker Week schedule for 2022, offering up several events at four different Las Vegas casinos during the latter part of June. The Ladies Poker Week is centered on the WSOP's $1,000 Ladies Championship at Paris on Wednesday, June 29, and the $450 LIPS National Championship, which begins the following day at South Point with the first of its two opening-day flights. The week's events also include tournaments at MGM Grand and the Venetian.
"It’s baaaack!" wrote LIPS founder and CEO Lupe Soto. "We are thrilled to bring you a week full of poker, friends and fun! Feel free to share this information on all your social media channels…. Who will be the 2022 National Champion? See you in June."
Soto also noted that all of the Ladies Poker Week events are "celebrated" by the Women's Poker Association (WPA). In addition, all of the weeks events are points-eligible for inclusion in the WPA's Player of the Year chase.
The 2022 Ladies Poker Week festivities begin at MGM Grand on June 27 with a $350 "kickoff" event. The following evening brings the fast-paced $150 WSOP Ladies Warm-Up tourney, a non-bracelet event, with the WSOP Ladies Championship the following day. That is listed as a possible four-day event to allow for possible final-table streaming, but due to scheduling conflicts, is likely to be a three-day event instead, with no stream. Lara Eisenberg is the defending champion.
While the WSOP Ladies Championship moves deep into the money, the LIPS Ladies Poker Week action also shifts down to South Point, which also recently hosted the 2022 Nevada State Ladies Poker Championship, won by Ruth Hall for the second time. The LIPS championship offers two starting days, on Thursday and Friday, with the event's Day 2 scheduled for Saturday, July 2.
Next, the 2022 Ladies Poker Week wraps up with a visit to the Venetian, which will offer a $500 Ladies NLH event on Sunday, July 3, as part of its DeepStack series. If needed, a Day 2 is tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 4.
