While it's not driving headlines like the upcoming finale of the WSOP Main Event, the King Poker Cup (KPC) series in Jeju, South Korea is set to deliver a final table packed with big-name players.
The $100K King's Charity Super High Roller drew a field of 71 entrants to build a total prize pool of $6,674,000.
After two days of play, only nine remain – including chip leader Jesse Lonis, Tom Dwan, Elton Tsang, and Bryn Kenney.
With nearly $2M for the eventual winner, Thursday's final table is one worth keeping tabs on.
Lonis, Tsang, and Kenney are all regulars in the global super high roller scene, but Dwan is less of a fixture in those fields.
According to The Hendon Mob, the last time Dwan cashed in a tournament was at the 2024 WSOP and the last time he reached a final table was a few months before that. Despite his lack of recent results in the tournament streets, Dwan is clearly confident enough in his own skills to put up the $100K buy-in.
Lonis in the driver's seat
Lonis' lead is a substantial one, but Dwan and Tsang aren't far behind. David Miscikowski and Xing are in the middle of the pack while Kenney leads the short stacks.
When play resumes on Thursday, the blinds will be 50K/125K with a 125K big blind ante.

KPC puts players first
The King Poker Cup is a reflection of South Korea's growing interest in poker. Jeju Island, in particular, has become ground zero for the wave of poker enthusiasm sweeping the nation.
With the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series regularly touching down on the island, the allure of the super high roller scene has been well-established. Now, the KPC is rising as a new contender in the poker tournament world – and its putting the player experience front and center on its list of priorities.
