It's the end of the line for Daniel Negreanu in the 2025 World Series of Poker Main Event. The GGPoker ambassador and Poker Hall of Famer sent his remaining chips into the middle with the best of it but couldn't hold across the runout.

After a close call the night before in the WSOP Online $1,000 6-Max event, Negreanu returned to the felt in poker's most prestigious tournament with 71,000 chips to work with. While it wasn't exactly piles, Negreanu's stack offered him plenty of maneuverability thanks to the long, slow structure of the Main Event.

Negreanu found himself beneath the bright lights on one of PokerGO's feature tables to start the day, seated directly to the left of Loni Hui

Spectators and audiences of the stream enjoyed Negreanu's livestream presence, but his time at the feature table was anything but productive as he struggled to find spots to chip up.

The final table featured three bracelet winners in Jeff Madsen, Marco Johnson and Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu started the day under the bright lights of the PokerGO feature table.

River card ends Negreanu's run

With the blinds at 2K/4K (4k), Negreanu raised to 8K from early position with and 53K in his stack. Simon Levy fired in a three-bet from the small blind to 25,000 with a covering stack. After a few moments in the tank, Negreanu reached down for his selfie-stick camera apparatus and began recording.

"This means I've decided," he said before sending the rest of his chips into the middle. Levy quickly called and tabled – making it a coin flip for Negreanu's tournament life.

"Okay, so far so good," Negreanu said as the dealer spread the flop.

The turn brought additional outs to Levy, but Negreanu remained stoic. With just one card between Negreanu and a full double up, the dealer rolled over the river to improve Levy to a better pair.

"Ay, ay, ay," Negreanu exclaimed, tapping the table as he did. "GG. That's it. Main Event done. I grinded. I saw, I came, I lost."
