After 15 levels of play, 44 players remain of a 248-strong field in Day 1b of the WSOPC London £1,100 Main Event. Romanian Marian Farcas, a regular in the London mid-stakes tournament scene, is in the lead on 785,000 - although he's only in fourth place overall for Day 2 at the moment, with three players of the 35 Day 1a survivors bagging bigger stacks.

Day 1a chip leader Daniel Wong remains the overall chip leader on 1,080,000, the only player to top the million mark so far.

Today's second of four Main Event starting flights drew 248 entries which, added to Day 1a's 222, means that the total field currently stands at 470 - some way off the 1,040 or so required to meet the £1 million guarantee.

Although Day 1c traditionally produces the biggest starting field (and the turbo-format Day 1d the smallest), there will need to be an absolutely monster turnout tomorrow if the Main Event stands any chance of avoiding an overlay.

Chris Moorman: from $250k to £1k

Players who made an appearance in Day 1b included UK crusher Chris Moorman (fresh from two bullets in the $250k Luxon Invitational), poker personality Andrew Hedley (both pictured below), WSOP Main Event finalist Dean Hutchinson, and Monster Stack champion Matias Tagliani.

Day 1c gets under way tomorrow at noon, and Day 1d at 8.30pm. Satellites will also be running all day if you want to take a shot at this (possibly overlaid) £1 million guaranteed event for a mere £110.
