The $1,000,000 PokerGo Tour Championship is down to the final six players after 44 hopefuls claimed their rightful seat in the season-ending freeroll at the PokerGO Studios.
The championship invited the top 40 players from the PGT leaderboard and 10 Dream Seats – spots earned during the PGT Last Chance series or at events throughout the year like the RunGood Poker Series Dream Seat Invitational. Those who claimed their seat on Friday were after a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool, with $500K of it up top for the winner.
The final six will face off at 1 pm today in Las Vegas at the PokerGo Studio with a livestream on PokerGO to follow at 2pm. They're all guaranteed a min-cash of $40K.
A look at the final six players:
Seat 1 – Chris Hunichen – 1,950,000 (49bb)
Chris Hunichen earned an automatic bid at #31 on the final PGT list with 5 cashes and 1 win in 2024. The one win was a big one — his first bracelet in the $100,000 High Roller at this summer's WSOP. Hunichen followed up the $100K performance with a near-miss in the $250K just a few days later. He won't have to make any sudden moves in the early part of the day with the second-biggest stack and a logjam at the bottom of the leaderboard.
Seat 2 – Dylan Weisman – 3,180,000 (80bb)
Dylan Weisman jumped to the top of the counts at the end of the night thanks in part to the elimination of Alex Foxen in eighth place with a well-timed five on the river. Weisman, who finished 11th in PGT points to earn an automatic bid, has won four times in the PokerGO Studio this year. He could jump over $7 million in earnings with a win, according to The Hendon Mob.
Seat 3 – Calvin Anderson – 985,000 (27bb)
Four cashes and one win earned Calvin Anderson the #34 spot in season points and he has parlayed one of the smaller starting stacks into a paying spot in the PGT Championship. Anderson's win was in the $10K Eight Game Mix at this summer's WSOP – his fifth WSOP bracelet. He nearly scored a second win of the summer in the $10K Big O, but he settled for second place (and enough PGT points to get him here.)
Seat 4 – Jim Collopy – 1,170,000 (29bb)
A whopping 20 cashes on tour in 2024 earned Jim Collopy the #7 spot on the end-of-season leaderboard and the only thing missing is a victory. Collopy's 20 cashes included four at the 2024 PGT Masters, where he was runner-up twice on his way to earning the Purple Jacket in September. The three-time bracelet winner is in third on the chip count list with a chance to add a signature win to a big year at the PokerGO Studio.
Seat 5 – Jeremy Ausmus – 880,000 (22bb)
The runaway 2024 PGT Player of the Year, Jeremy Ausmus entered the freeroll in the #1 spot in a system that staggered the chip counts to reward performance throughout the season. Ausmus took advantage and found the money, but he will enter the final table on the short stack. The six-time bracelet winner has 26 cashes and one win on tour this year.
Seat 6 – Nick Schulman – 895,000 (22bb)
Joining Ausmus at the bottom of the chip counts is Nick Schulman, who won twice and cashes 19 times in PGT-eligible events. Schulman wrapped up 2024 with his second bracelet of the year at WSOP Paradise after he won one over the summer in the $25,000 High Roller. The 2024 haul brings Schulman's grand total to six, and he will end the season with at least $40,000 in the risk-free tournament.
All six players will sit down at 1 pm today around halfway through Level 15 with blinds at 20K/40K/40K. Coverage will go live at 2 pm on PokerGO.
