The exciting conclusion of the Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship will roll out today at 1pm local time as the remaining eight players return to play down to a winner.
Olivier Busquet holds the lead as the final group returns in Level 28 with the blinds at 60,000/120,000 with a 120,000 big blind ante.
Here is a look at the final eight players:
Busquet leads group in chase for $511K
Seat 1 - Kyle Grupp - 4,450,000
Hailing from Clarence, New York, Grupp has a total of $482,494 of career live tournament winnings on HendonMob, with his largest career cash of $165,000 coming last summer at the 2025 WSOP Main Event when he finished in 54th place. Outside of that cash, Grupp's highest record tournament finish is fourth place three times, most recently in a $1,000 Pot Limit Omaha event at the MSPT Ohio State Poker Championship.
Seat 2 - Greg Himmelbrand - 4,985,000
Two-time MSPT Main Event Champion and three-time WSOP Circuit ring winner, Himmelbrand is no stranger to a final table with over $2.7 million in career tournament earnings and has been a fixture on the Northeast tournament scene for over a decade, with his first career cash coming all the way back in 2011 during the Foxwoods Poker Classic in Mashantucket. Himmelbrand is also no stranger to the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa, as his first career tournament victory came right here in Atlantic City when he took down a $560 Deep Stack Re-entry event during the 2013 Borgata Fall Poker Open for his largest career cash of $243,630.
Seat 3 - Zachary Fischer - 3,620,000
Zachary Fischer has been grinding out tournament poker since at least 2021 when he scored his first career cash during a side event at the 2021 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa but the New York native really burst onto the scene in 2025 when he scored a career year on the felt with $874,313 in live tournament earnings highlighted by his victory in the Main Event at the 2025 August WSOP Circuit Cherokee stop when he took down the 1,437 player field for his largest career cash of $324,135.
Seat 4 - Benjamin Morgan - 2,080,000
One of two players not from the Northeast, Morgan lists Columbus, Ohio, as his home base on HendonMob, but the Midwesterner is no stranger to the Borgata, as his first career cash and largest career score of $66,492 came all the way back in 2017 during the WPT Borgata Main Event when he finished 9th. That score represents the bulk of his $141,475 in career earnings, and while the short stack coming into the day, he is no stranger to the PokerOrg team as he sat near the top of the counts for most of Day 2.
Seat 5 - Blake Vogdes - 2,400,000
Fresh off his second-largest career score of $50,000 in the 2025 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, New Jersey native Vodges has been making waves on the tournament scene since he finished in 4th place at the 2025 PGT Kickoff's third event of the year for his largest career score of $54,400. Mostly known for his online and cash-game prowess, Vogdes is looking for his first career live-tournament victory when play resumes.
Seat 6 - Jack Kwon - 16,800,000
Kwon, who qualified for the Main Event thanks to a $400 satelite win on BetMGM, brings the chip lead into the final day of play and has already locked up his largest career cash, topping the $24,720 he took home during the $1,100 BetMGM Pot Limit Omaha Championship at the Aria Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas this summer. Kwon, a noted online grinder, has only five career live tournament results on his resume, all in 2025.
Seat 7 - Olivier Busquet - 7,980,000
The biggest name remaining at the final table, Busquet, boasts $9,314,688 in career live tournament earnings, and it all started right here at the Borgata back in 2009 when he took down the WPT Main Event for $925,514. Noted for his heads-up ability, Busquet is also looking to add another Borgata/BetMGM trophy to his collection after he topped a 685-player field back in July of 2025 during the Borgata Summer Poker Open for his eighth career tournament title, but first since 2018. Busquet, who took a five-year hiatus from poker from 2020 to 2025, comes into the day second in chips.
Seat 8 - Duane Mitchell - 2,390,000
Rounding out the field is Miami, Florida native, Mitchell, who has put together an impressive showing here at the 2026 Borgata Winter Poker Open with deep runs in both the Almighty Winter Kickoff and will be playing at his second final table of the series after a seventh-place finish for $38,630 during the Deepstack Main Event. Mitchell, who had just $53,227 in career live tournament earnings before the 2026 Winter Poker Open, will look to continue his hot start to 2026 but will come into the day as one of the short stacks.
