The list of reasons to get excited about tournament poker in Las Vegas this summer just grew by one.
Chris Moneymaker's eponymous poker tour will make its first foray into the city where he struck fortune and fame over twenty years ago. That's right, the Moneymaker Tour announced plans today for an upcoming stop in Las Vegas as part of the 2024 MGM Grand Summer Poker Festival.
From June 28 - July 6, the Moneymaker Tour will dominate the schedule at the MGM Grand. Coincidentally, the World Series of Poker Main Event - the very event that jumpstarted Moneymaker's storied career - kicks off July 3.
We're typically not sensationalists, but the possibility of winning the Moneymaker Main and then parlaying that win into a WSOP Main Event win is enough to make our heads spin.
Moneymaker Tour Las Vegas event highlights
Along with a number of nightly tournaments, Moneymaker and Executive Manager Tony Burns are bringing event favorites such as the Older Than Moneymaker and Moneymaker Mystery Bounty to the Las Vegas tournament streets.
