Sam 'Señor Tilt' Kiki might be the "most dangerous recreational player on the planet," or so says PokerGO commentator Brent Hanks. So if you're going to bluff him in a record-setting $946,000 pot, you had better be prepared for a call with one pair.
The MonkeyTilt founder sat down for the final day of a special No Gamble, No Future livestream, promising lots of action in the $200/400 game. He was joined by the likes of Matt Berkey, David Benyamine, Gaston, Kevin 'ATM' Paque, Eric Wasserson, and 17-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth.
It was 'ATM' who emerged once again as Kiki's top protagonist, matching him stack for stack until a big clash decided the evening's winner once and for all.
Perhaps the clash was inevitable between the two players, as both spent the better part of the evening engaged in an arms race at the top of the scoreboard. Kiki would add chips to keep pace with 'ATM' chipped up, leading to the two sitting with more than $1 million between them.
'Buckle up'
It all started with a raise from 'ATM', who sat with and over $600K. Kiki, who had around $470K and
, three-bet to $12,000 and 'ATM' fired back with $70K.
Kiki spent some time shuffling his chips before he slid out the chips to call for a flop of .
"Buckle up," Brent Hanks said in the booth.
Jeff Platt was sarcastic. "What, ATM doesn't strike you as a guy who just gives up?"
"I don't think so," Hanks said.
'ATM' fired $50K and Kiki looked down at top pair. A call brought the on the turn and 'ATM' eyed another volley.
This time it was $100K, or full blown YOLO mode as Hanks called it, and Kiki called. The river was a brick .
'ATM' went for all of it, another $252,100, and Kiki had a decision to make with just one pair.
"You don't call turn to fold this river," Hanks said. And he was right. Kiki took several minutes and ultimately called, dragging the biggest pot in the history of No Gamble, No Future.
Kiki, who Hanks would call the most dangerous recreational player on the planet, went on to finish with $940,300 in his stack.
Berkey wins, Hellmuth low-rolls
Meanwhile, the rest of the field fought for the scraps and Berkey walked away with $217,100 in his stack for a six-figure profit. 'ATM' didn't recover from the hand with Kiki, finishing with $161,900. Benyamine, who started strong after a big win on Saturday, handed a big pot to 'ATM' finished with $89,200 ahead of Gaston's $74,600.
Elsewhere, Hellmuth, who showed an hour late, bought in twice. His first stack went to dust slowly and then all at once when his pocket kings ran into Gaston's unsuited ace-ten. The Poker Brat wasn't pleased but there was no blowup. He nursed another $50K for the rest of the show and finished with $23,900, a lost of $67,100.
