Daniel Negreanu has been eliminated from the 2026 WSOP Main Event on Day 2D. His exit came shortly after late registration closed, confirming this year's field as the fourth-biggest in Main Event history.

Negreanu had a rough Day 1, when he complained of being card dead, and said he was happy to finish with 54,100 – just below the starting stack.

He didn't have a good first level on Day 2D either, sliding down to just 22,000 after the first level.

Then he started getting active. He managed to find two double ups against Jameel Harris – the first when he cracked queens with sixes. You can watch that one play out below.

He also doubled against Harris with AK against jacks, flopping an ace to to climb back to around 70,000 chips.

Negreanu's luck runs out

Negreanu couldn't keep it going, though, and was finally eliminated by multi-time Circuit ring winner Darren Rabinowitz.

Negreanu got it in with but found himself in need of a lot of help against Rabinowitz's .

He called for a queen, but the board didn't comply and he started to pack away his vlogging equipment.

"Alright, GG," Negreanu said. "Good luck, do something with my chips."

There's no rest for Negreanu. He's hopped straight into the $600 Ultra Stack event, where he'll be chasing the big field bonus for fantasy points. His $25K Fantasy team is currently top of the league with just 16 bracelets left to play for this summer.
