There’s never a good time to slowroll someone — but on the final table bubble of the WSOP Super Main Event?

That's what happened on Wednesday at WSOP Paradise, with just 10 players left and $10 million up top for the winner.

Eric Wasserson played the villain – eight-time bracelet winner Benny Glaser his victim.

You can watch the full hand on the official livestream, starting at the 4:55:45 mark.

'This is ridiculous'

The hand started with a raise from Terrance Reid to 7 million with pocket sevens. Wasserson three-bet to 21 million with and Glaser ripped his 89.5 million stack in with

Reid moved out of the way, and rather than snap-calling, Wasserson asked for a count and started tanking.

Randy Lew on the livestream comms was confused. "Shouldn't he call already?" asked Lew. "He asked for a count and double-checked his hand. This is ridiculous."

"Benny won't be amused when he sees aces here," Ali Nejad said.

"I don't know what that was all about," said Lew. "Why?"

Eventually, Wasserson made the call. “Really?” asked Glaser, before he was eliminated as the board ran out

History between the two players

Talking afterwards, Glaser said of the slowroll, “Obviously not very classy. Not a very good human, not a nice move, but it’s more the sadness of busting. Part of me almost expected it from him.”

Glaser also revealed that there was history between them that stemmed from the WSOP this past summer.

We spoke with Wasserson afterward, who appeared to backtrack slightly on the slowroll.

Wasserson went on to make the official final table of eight, bagging 130,500,000 — good for fifth in chips. Glaser got the consolation of a $665,875 cash.

The final table of the WSOP Super Main Event plays out on Thursday, starting at 12pm ET.
