The PokerGO Tour has announced that its upcoming 2024 season, the fourth in the tour's history, will begin in mid-January with a brand new mini-series, the PGT Kickoff. The PGT Tour's Season 4 opener will then be followed with the return of the PokerGO Cup during the last week of January.

Both of the season-opening series will be held in the PokerGO Studio, which sits adjacent to the Aria casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The PGT Kickoff will offer five events during its January 11-16, 2024 eight-day run. The 2024 PokerGO Cup, which runs for ten days, January 25 to February 3, 2024 has eight events on its slate. All events in both series offer PGT leaderboard points to each event's in-the-money finishers.

Kickoff series offers double leaderboard points

PokerGO Tour officials are seeking a way to jumpstart the fourth year of the tour and the return of its season-long leaderboard race. With that in mind, the new PGT Kickoff series will offer doubled leaderboard points in each of its five events, which are otherwise calculated using the PGT's standard points formula.

The series will also focus on a lower price point than most other PGT offerings. The first four events will have a $5,300 buy-in, and only the Kickoff's main event will be higher, with a $10,500 entry fee. All five events are scheduled to run for two days each.
