It's that time of year when poker players are desperate to get hold of the WSOP schedule.
What's going to change? Is the Main Event still going to be a freezeout? What new events is the WSOP going to introduce? What's the first event going to be?
We were put out of our misery last Friday with an announcement of an announcement: the full schedule drops on Monday, February 16.
Ahead of that, Christina ‘BabyShark’ Gollins has fired off her personal wishlist. And if these aren't granted, there'll be trouble.
What tournaments do you want to see?
Okay, WSOP, we need a permanent pineapple tournament. I love pineapple. We don't get enough opportunities to play pineapple.
We need more structures like the Millionaire Maker. There are maybe one or two tournaments that have hour-long levels, not 30- or 45-minute levels. The hour levels are amazing – so more of those, please.
And we'd like more freezeouts, please. I mean, the fields are already enormous. If you give us freezeouts, you'll still get your rake. And preferably another $5K freezeout — there was only one on the schedule last time.
I’d love to see more $1Ks throughout the series — Aria does a great job with that. Venetian and Wynn run a $1,100 almost every single day.
My advice is to offer these events during the mixed-game tournaments. Because no-limit losers like me don’t know how to play mixed games, and we need something to do on those days.
How long is the Ladies Championship?
Can we talk about the fact that it's a f**king four-day tournament? I don't think you guys realize, but that's enough time for us to synchronize our menstrual cycles.
Four days is a very long time. We can wrap it up in three days, easy.
What about the food options?
If you see me struggling at the tables, just give me gummy bears. It’s always a good pick-me-up.
But seriously, I have a message for all you foodies out there. If you know me, you know that I'm a low-key fat ass. I'll be giving you guys some tips and tricks this year during the WSOP: where to eat and what not to eat. That's all I can say for now. More info will be forthcoming.
Christina's WSOP wishlist
- Permanent pineapple event
- More hour-long level structures
- More freezeouts (especially $5K)
- More $1K events
- Shorter Ladies Championship
