More great poker content will be made available for the broadcaster for two more years

Poker Central and the giant broadcaster NBC just announced that their partnership that has been going on for the past three years has been renewed. The renegotiated partnership will have both companies working together for two more years. This has been a successful collaboration between the two companies, as it already has led to broadcasts of popular poker series like the US Poker Open, Super High Roller Bowl and Poker Masters events.

Among the poker events that are televised, the Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) has become a fan-favorite and has captured a niche audience who, until this partnership deal, were getting just crumbs of what the actual high roller circuit is. Grabbing a new audience to follow poker competitions is not that easy; it involves a lot of brands and formats that end up confusing audiences.

However, there are some great hands that have been featured that are worth the effort. A hand like the one that happened in the 2015 SHRB featuring Tom Marchese and Daniel Negreanu – these are the actions during a game of poker that have allowed both Poker Central and PokerGO to develop significant followings.

"We want to continue to see our major tournaments and poker programming reach the greatest number of sports fans possible globally. Renewing our partnership with NBC Sports will allow us to further engage with both our passionate poker fans, as well as those who are entertained by the sport," wrote Chief Business Officer JR McCabe in a statement on Poker Central's website.
