Wynn Resorts is expected to bring a card room to a $5.1 billion project in the United Arab Emirates — and they're looking for a Poker Room Manager.

Construction at Wynn Al Marjan Island is ongoing in Ras al-Khaimah, where the major infrastructure project will include a 1,000-foot tower and a bridge that connects the island site to the broader UAE road network. Wynn Al Marjan will be the first gaming resort in the UAE with one of the top-10 tallest buildings in the world.

A recent job post from Wynn Poker honcho Ryan Beauregard put out the call for a new Card Games Room Room Manager and hard launched his role at the brand-new Wynn in his X bio

"Wynn Poker is coming to Al Marjan Island," said Beauregard, the Vice President for Poker Operations & Sporting Events at the new resort. "First we build the environment, and now we build the team. We are driven by a passion for the game, and the desire to create exceptional experiences for each of our guests."

The post points to a LinkedIn post where interested candidates can apply. The role requires a willingness to travel throughout the Middle East and North Africa and it promises "an attractive salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE."

Some staff relocated

Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to open in 2027, but the War in Iran could push that timeline back. Construction is still underway at the resort, but members of the design and development teams have been relocated for the time being, according to an executive who briefed the Nevada Gaming Commission on the project at a recent meeting. Al Marjan Island location sits about 75 miles from Dubai, where hotels have been struck by Iranian attacks in the ongoing conflict.

“Some of them have relocated to different places based on the advice of their embassies,” Wynn executive Jacqui Krum told the commission last week. “The construction site is still ongoing right now, and we are dedicated to the safety and security of the team members who are working on the construction site.”

The pending poker room at Wynn UAE will be the company's third, joining Encore Boston and Las Vegas. Encore Boston features 24 tables and Las Vegas has 28, while their room at Wynn Macau closed in January.

For now, it appears not much can stop Wynn from opening what may be their grandest poker room yet in the UAE.
