Former Team PokerStars Pro, November Nine qualifier, and toy executive Pierre Neuville has died at the age of 83.

Neuville's major poker milestone was his deep run in the WSOP Main Event in 2015, where he finished seventh for $1.2 million, but he made his name on the European Poker Tour, where he finished second in two different EPT Main Events in 2012 and 2016

In fact, Neuville had already received the Lifetime Achievement honor from the Global Poker Awards in 2015, just months prior to his famous Main Event run.

November Niner's lifetime of achievements

Neuville was born in Montigny-le-Tilleul, Belgium, in 1943, and he picked up poker at university. His board game design, featuring famous Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx, jump-started his professional life with a toy company that was eventually sold to Hasbro, an American toy firm where he worked as a Vice President for another decade.
