Hustler Casino Live announced yesterday that the show would air on the Twitch live-streaming platform rather than its usual home on YouTube. The statement, which came from the Hustler Casino Live Twitter/X account, points to an unnamed issue with the show's YouTube account that resulted in a week-long suspension from the platform.
With a five-night-a-week, year-round schedule of games, Hustler Casino Live has been forced to call an audible for this week's slate and transition its livestream to Twitch as a result of the suspension. The show's YouTube channel boasts over 360,000 subscribers and regularly streams to thousands of viewers each weeknight - making it, by far, the most popular poker livestream.
Ryan Feldman, owner and producer of Hustler Casino Live, told PokerOrg, "YouTube gave us a strike on our channel and took down one of our videos for a violation of one of their guidelines. It's not clear what the specific violation is or what the specific issue is." YouTube, as a platform that hosts and caters to millions of content creators, has been known to be hard to reach in situations such as the one Hustler Casino Live faces. Feldman lamented this fact, saying, "It's really hard to talk to someone directly from YouTube. We're trying very hard right now to talk to someone."
Feldman continued, offering his own theory on the possible cause for the suspension. "We believe it has something to do, possibly, with an advertiser from the past, but we're not sure. For the time being, we will be streaming on Twitch."
At the time of this article's writing, the show's Max Pain Monday iteration was up and running, but held less than 300 viewers - a fraction of the usual crowd when Hustler Casino Live airs on YouTube.
