Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Coconut Creek casino, home to one of the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metroplex's largest poker facilities, has announced that it will hold a poker tournament fundraiser in April to benefit Ukraine relief efforts.
The Hard Rock Heals Foundation Charity Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 8, starting at 11:00 am. The event will be held in the Coco Poker room and features a $200 buy-in, with a $10,000 prize pool guaranteed. Registration begins two hours prior to the tourney's start, and Seminole Coco Creek also promises special guest appearances and giveaways as part of the day's event.
“Our goal is to help thousands of Ukraine war victims, including Ukrainian children and families who have been injured, displaced or severely financially impacted, in addition to Ukrainians who have lost loved ones as a result of this terrible war, which has passed the one-year mark,” said Jim Allen, the CEO of Seminole Gaming. Allen is also the Chairman of Hard Rock International and the Chairman of Hard Rock Digital.
The poker fundraiser also serves as the lead-in to a second benefit on behalf of ongoing relief efforts for the victims of the invasion of Ukraine by neighboring Russia last year. On Saturday, April 22, down the road at Hard Rock Hollywood, the Hard Rock Heals Foundation will hold a separate Ukraine Relief Gala. This upscale dinner event offers fine dining and live entertainment, with single dinner seats for $250 or full 10-seat tables for $2,500.
The Hard Rock Heals Foundation is a 501c(3)-registered charity. Founded in 2016, the charity unites all of Seminole Hard Rock's philanthropic efforts, including both global initiatives and local events, under a single charity platform. Beneath the charity's "Love. Amplified." motto, it seeks to benefit a single goal, in making the world a better place by serving people and the planet.
