The casino is going to offer poker players larger, updated spaces for their favorite pastime
It is clear already for poker players that the usual scene inside live poker rooms in Las Vegas are going to change dramatically. At least three casinos are operating their poker rooms since June 4, when they were allowed to reopen for business. But South Point Hotel Casino and Spa decided to take this time to debut a new and renovated poker room for its customers. This newly renovated place to enjoy poker action will bring all the games poker players love, including the popular form of Texas Hold'em, as well as other luxurious amenities. The sizeable South Point poker room is non-smoking and open 24 hours, and it will follow recommended social distancing requirements.
The renovations included the addition of eight additional poker tables, which brings the room to a total of thirty, which still features the most room in between tables in any gambling venue in Las Vegas. The room is also filled with 55-inch 4K televisions and two brand new 90-inch televisions. In addition, South Point added new, comfortable seating with several options to chill and relax. For the comfort of visitors, each seat in the room comes with a phone charging station. A newly designed podium will be in charge of paying the winners and provide an enhanced customer experience.
"We know our players will enjoy the most comfortable poker playing experience in Las Vegas," said Ryan Growney, general manager of South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. "And welcoming our loyal guests back in a safe way is of the utmost importance to us and our staff." For now, the poker room will feature $3-6, $4-8, $6-12 limit Texas Hold'em and $1-2, $2-3, $3-5 blind No-Limit Texas Hold'em. It will also offer mixed games tables for Stud and Omaha but at the player's request.
