Battle of Malta, CPP Online, WSOP Main Event satellites on tap for Sunday

A month of big opportunities and prize pools in the world of online poker shows no signs of slowing down. As November rolls along, the major tournament festivals keep playing out.

The partypoker Caribbean Poker Party Online and the GGPoker Battle of Malta both see their series Main Events progress toward the finish, while the unprecedented 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event kicks off its satellite qualifiers.

Here's a look at some of the biggest events on the schedule for Sunday, Nov. 22:

GGPoker Battle of Malta Main Event

After two weeks of opening day flights, the GGPoker Battle of Malta Main Event advances to Day 2 action on Sunday. Event $14: $550 Main Event guarantees $3 million.

Following multiple Day 1 flights, Day 2 action begins Sunday at 6:30 pm GMT. Before Day 2 begins, however, players still have five different Day 1 flights available on Sunday before Day 2 begins.

Day 2 will then play down to a final table, and the final nine players then come back to play down to a champion on Saturday, Nov. 28. Final table action will feature cards up streaming coverage on the GGPoker.TV channel.

partypoker Caribbean Poker Party Online Main Event

The second of two starting flights in the Caribbean Poker Party Online Main Event at partypoker commences Sunday. Event #2: $5,300 Main Event guarantees $ 5 million, with Day 1B set to kick off at 7:05 pm GMT.

If Day 1A turnout is any indication, the CPP Online Main Event should go well over that $5 million guarantee mark. Day 1A played out Nov. 15 and drew 490 entries, putting the tournament almost halfway to the guarantee at $2,450,000.

Day 1B attendance will likely come in even bigger than that, and the final table finishers in the Main Event are set to collect big prize money. Notable players bagging big in the Day 1A flight include Michael Addamo, who ended the flight with the overall chip lead.

Other names with significant chips from the Day 1A flight include Pedro Padilha Chaves and Jonathan Van Fleet.

2020 World Series of Poker Main Event satellites

The unprecedented 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event takes place on both GGPoker and WSOP.com, and the satellite qualifiers on both platforms begin this weekend.

WSOP.com runs satellites throughout the weekend, and U.S. players can begin their journey toward a possible $10,000 seat in the U.S. side of the Main Event. The satellites and the Main Event itself are only accessible in the U.S. to players located in Nevada or New Jersey.

Those satellites lead up to WSOP.com Main Event Day 1 on Dec. 13. Survivors of that fight come back for Day 2 on Dec. 14, and that flight plays until a final table is reached. The final table then plays out on Dec. 28 at the Rio in Las Vegas, where a U.S. Main Event champion will be crowned.

GGPoker runs the international side of this year's Main Event, with satellite qualifiers beginning Sunday. GGPoker features three Day 1 flights (Nov. 29, Dec. 5, and Dec. 6), with players advancing from those flights making it to the final table.

The final table brings those players together at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, on Dec. 16. The winner from that final table then takes on the U.S. Main Event champion at the Rio on Dec. 30, and the winner of that heads-up match is the official 2020 WSOP Main Event champion.
