Whether you're a longtime grinder of the game or a relative newbie, everybody likes getting their picture taken at the poker table. Well, for the most part — as long as it's a good shot.
Over the past two months, PokerOrg and the 8131 Media photographers have put together quite a collection of snapshots from the action at the World Series of Poker. Below, we've selected a handful of photographs to highlight with the intent of providing a feeling for what it's like to be on the ground at poker's summer camp.
Winning headgear
It's tough to stand out amongst the hordes of poker players walking the halls and sitting the tables at the WSOP, but there's one surefire way to get a photographer's attention: wear a funky hat.
Carson Richards' Pokemon headgear certainly set him apart at the final table of the Mystery Millions.
An Allen Kessler oversized hat? Yeah, that'll do nicely.
Randall Yasny wins with this poker-themed masquerade mask.
Mason Hinkle's full fur get up can't have been comfortable in the Las Vegas heat, but hey, he looked good at the tables.
Santa Claus came to town.
The big-name winners
It was another record-breaking summer at the WSOP and, along the way, several big names added new bracelets to their collections. Among them were Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Scott Seiver, John Hennigan, Nick Schulman, and Robert Mizrachi.
Daniel Negreanu notched his seventh bracelet in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
Phil Ivey won his 11th bracelet almost 10 years after his 10th.
Scott Seiver called his shot and took home three bracelets to join the seven-bracelet club in historic fashion.

Nick Schulman captured a fifth bracelet in the $25,000 High Roller NLH.
John Hennigan won the $1,500 Dealer's Choice to join the seven-bracelet club just before Negreanu and Seiver.
Yuval Bronshtein got in on the winner's photo after Robert Mizrachi won his fifth.
Familiar faces, new looks
As always, the poker rooms of Las Vegas flowed over with faces old and new. The 8131 Media photographers were on standby for any and all who wanted their photo taken for PokerOrg. Plus, they're fantastic at their jobs and the results prove it.
