The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series has released new details about its upcoming Ivan Leow Player of the Year competition alongside an announcement regarding a new season-long Player One leaderboard for its mid-stakes Triton ONE series. Both tours kick off in March, taking players back to Jeju, South Korea in celebration of the tenth anniversary of Triton Poker.
The next Ivan Leow Player of the Year will take home not only the honor of the award – past winner Danny Tang described the achievement as "the most prestigious award that can be won in poker right now," – but also an extra $200,000 for their efforts.
And they won't be the only Triton Poker SHRS player to walk away with prize money as a result of consistent performance across the schedule.
For the first time, the top ten finishers on the leaderboard will earn themselves a chunk of the dynamic rewards pool. As Triton Poker SHRS field sizes grow, so does the rewards pool for the leaderboard race.
While his crowning ceremony has yet to take place, Russia's Artur Martirosian stands atop the leaderboard for the now-concluded 2024/25 season.
With 28 cashes, 9 final tables, and 3 outright victories, Martirosian racked up more than $7.7M in earnings and 5,296 Player of the Year points – more than enough to keep runner-up finisher Alex Foxen at bay.
Triton ONE, Player ONE
For the mid-stakes grinders on the Triton ONE tour, the Player ONE season-long leaderboard race provides an extra incentive to put up consistent results. With a $66,000 winner-take-all prize comprised of various rewards, there can only be one Player ONE – adding a measure of high stakes jeopardy to the mid-stakes tour.
The scoring system for the Player ONE competition takes a variety of factors into account, including field size, buy-in amount, finishing position, and re-entries. Additionally, an extra 100 points goes to the Player of the Festival winner at each stop on the tour.
The Triton ONE schedule kicks off in Jeju from March 5-15, offering up the first opportunity for players to accumulate points.
