Aram Zobian has become the latest winner at the PokerGO Tour's 2024 US Poker Open, capturing the title in Event #6, $15,100, for a $264,290 score. Zobian completed the win on Monday after reaching a deal with eventual runner-up Sam Laskowitz during heads-up play, then finished off Laskowitz for the official title in the event.

Laskowitz earned $219,310 as the runner-up, while Brock Wilson finished third for $139,200.

Monday's six-player, Day 2 finale found Zobian dominating the early action after coming into the day second in chips behind Laskowitz, who led a fairly compact finale after finishing atop the Day 1 counts. The finale saw plenty of action but relatively little movement in the positions as all six players finished at or within one spot of where each started the day's play.

Zobian had surged well ahead of Laskowitz when Wilson busted in third, though Laskowitz pulled to nearly even within the first stretch of heads-up play. At that that point the two chopped most of the remaining money, leaving $20,000 and the title to play for, and Zobian took control from that point to close out Laskowitz for the win.

Zobian jumps to top of series leaderboard

The win was worth 289 US Poker Open leaderboard points to Zobian, as the points were based on the official listed payouts rather than the chop, and that pushed Zobian well into the lead in the Player of the Series race with two events to go. The win marked Zobian's third deep run in six events, giving him 569 points to date. That's exactly 200 points clear of Event #2 winner Jesse Lonis, who busted in seventh place on Sunday night to close the Day 1 action and set up Monday's streamed finale. Third place in the leaderboard race is held by Rodger Johnson, who cashed in each of the first five events before missing the money in Event #6.

Monday's win was also the second PGT title of Zobian's career, joining his triumph in a January 2023 PokerGO Cup event. With the win, Zobian has logged nearly $4.9 million in recorded live-event cashes.

Event #6 of the 2024 US Poker Open attracted 62 entrants and built a $930,000 prize pool. The top nine players made the money. Monday's final six finishers were as follows:

1. Aram Zobian - $264,290*
2. Sam Laskowitz - $219,310*
3. Brock Wilson - $130,200
4. Joey Weissman - $93,000
