In recent months, calls for an evolution in the poker content space have rung out from many in the community – Daniel Negreanu included. With the launch of No Limit, those calls have been answered.

While it’s important to highlight new approaches to introducing the game to the masses, the tried-and-true method of the poker vlog retains its value – and we’re not talking about the tired, point-and-shoot, mindless hand history regurgitation. These creators not only provide personal narrative to their content, but do so with compelling visuals and smooth edits.

If you’re inclined to investigate, check out the work produced by these two rising stars

Gil Jack – 24.3K subscribers, 7.3M views

Gil Jack launched his YouTube channel in June of 2022, racking up the numbers above at a fairly rapid clip. With both full-length videos and shorts in his repertoire, he has plenty of content to keep fans entertained.

Recently, Jack noticed a lack of volume in his game – he wasn't putting in enough hours at the table and it was time for a change. With his content creator thinking cap on, he devised a self-imposed challenge to play 200 hours of live poker over the course of 30 days. In order to hold himself accountable, Jack has vowed to give away $5,000 – split evenly across five recipients – if he fails to complete the challenge.

If you want to be in the running for the prize draw should he come up short, simply comment on the video below. After you watch it, of course.

Global Kenny – 8.6K subscribers, 3.5M views

Global Kenny arrived on the poker vlog scene back in January of 2023 and quickly amassed a sizable following. Like Jack, Kenny produces both long-form videos and shorts.

In September, Kenny hit a rough patch on the felt which resulted in a $150,000 hit to his bankroll. In his latest long-form video, he spoke openly about the toll the losses have had on his mental and emotional well-being.

While poker content can, at times, glamorize the game, it's important to keep in mind that it's not all sunshine and rainbows. These are real people, playing with real money – and losing hurts.

Luckily, Kenny bounced back with a big win in a private home game in New York City – with chunky stacks of cash on the table like an episode of High Stakes Poker
