Michael Mizrachi's performance at the 2025 World Series of Poker will, without any shadow of a doubt, go down as the greatest accomplishment in the game's history.
If, somehow, you haven't already heard, Mizrachi emerged victorious in the series' two most prestigious events: the $50,000 Poker Players Championship (his fourth time winning the tournament) and the $10,000 Main Event World Championship.
In a decision befitting of the moment, the living members of the Poker Hall of Fame agreed to induct Mizrachi into their ranks mere minutes after his victory in the Main Event – skipping the standard nomination and voting process.
While Nick Schulman was the official 2025 inductee to the Hall of Fame, Mizrachi's achievement could not go unrecognized and the rules were bent ever-so-slightly to make way for an inevitable addition.
With an accomplishment of this caliber, so too comes the outpouring of flowers and praise for Mizrachi from around the poker community – check out some of the responses below.
The poker world reacts
Poker Hall of Famer and 17-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth was quick to explain the situation when it came to Mizrachi's addition to the Hall of Fame, making it clear that the decision was a unanimous one.
Chris Moneymaker – a guy who knows a thing or two about historic runs at the World Series of Poker – showed his respect to Mizrachi and welcomed him to the Hall of Fame with open arms.
Maria Ho summed up Mizrachi with a rather succinct "what a savage." In the replies to Ho's post, Liv Boeree wrote, "How is he such a gangster? Mad respect to you."
Jared Bleznick gave a toast at Mizrachi's afterparty celebration and lauded his summer as "the greatest accomplishment in the history of poker."
PokerGO was along for the ride, bringing viewers uninterrupted (mostly) coverage of both of Mizrachi's historic runs.
Eric Mizrachi gave his twin brother serious props.
Norman Chad brought his trademark dry wit to the conversation when congratulating Mizrachi.
