UK pro Will Kassouf was escorted off the premises as soon as he was eliminated from the Main Event and banned for the rest of the 2025 World Series of Poker.

The unprecedented scenes happened after a tumultuous day, which started with Kassouf getting a one-round penalty. And it proceeded to go downhill very fast after that.

Kassouf cashed for $300,000 after being eliminated in 33rd place and was escorted to the payout desks first, but, perhaps unsurprisingly, he didn't go quietly.

He put his case forward in a lengthy post-bust interview and continued talking as he made his way to the Paris casino, trailed by security personnel, curious onlookers, and two Las Vegas Metro officers.

PokerOrg was present when the news of the ban was given to Kassouf — you can see what happened in the video below.

Kassouf busts and is banned from the WSOP

Kassouf's run in the 2025 Main Event has been wracked with controversy. He's had the clock called on him more than any other player we can remember. He received multiple penalties and drew frustration from several players at his table. At the end of Day 6 he was put on a 10-second shot clock for every decision, something he called a "disgrace."

That started up again at the start of Day 7. He had the clock called on him in the first hand and was given a 10-second countdown. Kassouf claimed he had been told that his clock would be reset to a standard 30 seconds, but after more protests, he was given a one-round penalty.

Kassouf didn't seem to recover from this. He vented his frustration on both the floor staff and fellow players, speaking animatedly to anyone who would listen. The tone had soured. Any playful edge to his table talk had long disappeared, replaced by visible frustration

He found two double-ups, but his stack never got to a playable level, and his demise came at the hands of chip leader Kenny Hallaert shortly before 9pm.

Kassouf put his chips in with pocket sevens. Hallaert called with and turned a king to send Kassouf to the rail and ultimately off the premises and out of the WSOP for the rest of the series.
