The sixth season of No Gamble, No Future continued this Tuesday with another episode of $100/$100 action from the PokerGO Studio. In the opening frames of the episode, the players at the table – Ethan 'Rampage Yau, Alexander 'Wolfgang' Seibt, Luiz 'Brazil God' Rizental, Markus Gonsalves, Justin Young, Joel Prelog, and Paul Gunness – agreed to play a round of the Stand Up Game, but with a twist.
Wolfgang's Stand Up Game woes
If you're unfamiliar with the Stand Up Game, it's essentially a side bet on the game where all players take to their feet and battle it out for the right to sit back down by winning a hand. Typically, the loser of the Stand Up Game – the last player left standing – has to pay an agreed-upon amount to each of the other players at the table.
For this iteration of the Stand Up Game, however, the punishment for losing wasn't monetary. Instead, the table agreed that the last player standing would have to play out the rest of the session without a shirt on.
One by one, the players took their seats of safety as they hauled in a pot. With the pressure mounting, the last two standing players – Seibt and Gunness – grew increasingly desperate to regain their seats. Unfortunately for Seibt, the right hand failed to materialize and Gunness managed to bluff with the best hand in a pot versus Gonsalves.
Win a big one, lose your shirt
Thankfully for him, Seibt's shirt removal was preceded by a big win in a four-bet pot against Young. With the $200 straddle in play from Gonsalves – as well as the $400 double straddle from Yau – Seibt kicked off the action with a raise to $1,000 from the button, holding .
Young, hoping to pounce on a light open and steal the dead money in the middle, three-bet to $4,000 from the big blind with . Both Gonsalves and Yau looked down at rags in the straddle positions and sent their hands back to the dealer, leaving Seibt and Young to battle it out.
After confirming Young's raise sizing with the dealer, Seibt opted to put in another raise, four-betting to $8,700. With the threat of a Wheel of Pain spin looming, Young opted to take a flop with his queen-high holding and made the call. On the flop, Young checked to Seibt who fired out a continuation bet of $5,500 into the $18,300 pot. Within seconds of Seibt's chips hitting the felt, Young verbally announced an all-in for $21,800 total.
Seibt asked the dealer for a count, double-checked his hand, and took a moment to consider his options before making the call. With $61,900 in the middle, Young needed to catch a runner-runner miracle to win the pot, but the on the turn left his hand drawing completely dead and Seibt hauled in a massive one.
