All eyes might be on the $40 million guaranteed WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas in December, but there are still two big main tour stops on the WPT to come between now and then.
Next on the list is a return for the WPT to Jacksonville, Florida's biggest city, for the first time since 2019 for the much-anticipated WPT bestbet Scramble.
The 14-event, 19-day stop on the World Poker Tour kicks off with a $400 buy-in, $200k guaranteed no-limit hold'em event with six day 1 flights. There's a range of tournaments for everyone, with buy-ins from $300 up to $2,100, including a $1,700 Mystery Bounty event, ahead of the $5,000 Main Event that runs from November 10–14.
Back in 2019, it was Joshua Adkins who bagged the big one in Jacksonville, a $331,480 scoop after defeating Tan Nguyen heads-up from a field of 349 entries.
This time around? Well, that remains to be seen, but there will be plenty of contenders for the crown and numerous ways for you to get in on the cheap.
A slew of satellites and super satellites ranging from $120+$20 rebuys to $580 could see you taking your seat for the Main Event.
There are also satellites for the biggest event of the winter, the WPT World Championship at the Wynn Las Vegas in December, a 10-day, one-tournament shootout for a share of a guaranteed $40,000,000.
Catch Bin Weng if you can
The two remaining stops, starting at Jacksonville, and the monster World Championship guarantee will offer some hope to those looking to catch Bin Weng in the WPT Player of the Year race.
Two huge wins, including the WPT Wynn Summer Classic ‘Everyone for One Drop’, leaves 40-year-old Weng sitting atop the leaderboard by a country mile - and with $3.5 million in winnings, with his nearest competitors still on six-figures.
