The last time the WSOP Circuit visited Texas, back in May, was also the first time.

The circuit made its debut in the Lone Star State with a $1,700 buy-in, $1M GTD Main Event at the Texas Card House in Austin. If the intent was to gauge the appetite for more, the answer was definitive: the $1M guaranteed prizepool was blown out of the water.

In the end, over $2.5M was paid out to 191 in-the-money finishers from a field of 1,709. It was the biggest poker prizepool in Texas history.

It’s with this success in mind that the WSOP Circuit will be returning to Austin, September 10-21, with a tweaked schedule that doubles down on that record-breaking Main Event, with $2M guaranteed in the series’ showcase.
