Looking for inspiration for your WSOP Fantasy Freeroll team?

Octopi Poker has locked in its eight-player team, and we've got the full breakdown on one of the stronger-looking teams in the big summer sweat.

The team was picked by Danish poker pro Johan Schultz-Pedersen, co-founder of Octopi Poker and one of their leading minds in product development and game theory strategy. Schultz-Pedersen has over $1 million in lifetime earnings and a WSOP bracelet from the $400 Online Colossus in 2024.

Check out the eight players he drafted – and why – then go draft your own team before the deadline at 1pm PT on Thursday, May 28.

Team Octopi Poker

Stephen Chidwick – $32

This one is a no-brainer. Stevie is also an Octopi co-founder and one of the best tournament players of all time. We’re going to be rooting for him hard either way, but it’s more fun if he’s also on our fantasy team.

Omar Sader

Patrick Leonard – $41

Patrick is undoubtedly one of the best online MTT players of all time and a prolific grinder. He also has a WSOP bracelet, and based on his Twitter activity, he seems determined to prove he’s worth more than his $41 price tag.

Dylan Linde – $59

Dylan is a well-rounded player who plays high stakes as well as mixed games. He’s our most expensive player, but we’re confident in his ability to navigate smaller-field, high-buy-in tournaments.

Isaac Haxton – $19

It’s hard to argue that Ike isn’t one of the best players in almost any tournament he plays. Our only concern with him is how many tournaments he’ll actually play this summer. If he’s in the field, though, he’s one of the favorites.

Brian Hastings – $1

He’s an Octopi Poker coach, he’s got 6 bracelets, and he can play basically any game. Brian might not be playing a heavy WSOP schedule this year, but at $1, we couldn’t pass him up.

Brian Hastings Brian Hastings is one of the $1 players to keep an eye on.

Huck Seed – $7

This is a bit of a throwback pick. He’s a former Main Event winner, can play a ton of different games, and who doesn’t like a comeback story? Also, when Huck is involved in a competition, he tends to come out on the right side of things. Hopefully, he has the same effect on our team.

Max Neugebauer – $11

We wanted to make sure we had a diverse team, and adding Max meant that we boosted our average height (thanks to you, too, Huck) and added some geographical balance. Adding a former WSOP Europe Main Event champion never hurts.

Brian Yoon – $30

He put in a lot of volume in 2025 and has the ability, like Brian, Dylan, and some others on our team, to do well in small-field, high-buy-in tournaments.

Octopi Poker is all in on the 2026 WSOP. The poker study platform and training tool has a long list of prep courses and drills available to get you ready for the series, and it's added 17-time WSOP champ Phil Hellmuth as an ambassador and investor.
