We’re around the halfway point in the WSOP Online series at GGPoker and so far it’s been good news for players seeking big prizes, as all advertised guarantees have been surpassed with apparent ease.
Every event with a guaranteed prizepool — see below — has seen it comfortably covered, and then some. Bad news for those seeking the extra value of an overlay, but great news for those who love the allure of big fields, deep stacks and huge prize money. And GGPoker must be loving the lack of overlays, too.
- $300 Gladiators of Poker, $3M GTD: $3.6M+ paid out
- $215 Mystery Millions, $10M GTD: $10.6M+ paid out
- $100 Flip & Go, $1M GTD, $1.4M+ paid out
- $500 Mini Main Event, $4M GTD: $5.3M+ paid out
- $1,500 Millionaire Maker, $5M GTD: $8.4M+ paid out
During the second half of the series, which runs through to September 30, there are four more events scheduled with advertised guarantees. These include the $5,000 Main Event ($25M GTD) and the $10,300 High Roller ($10M GTD), which will close out the series. Starting flights for the Main Event are running daily, with Day 2 taking place on September 22. Day 1s for the High Roller run from September 21-29, with Day 2 on September 29.
But for players without the bankrolls to drop $5K+ on a tournament entry, there remain two big opportunities to bag a big chunk of guaranteed cash: the $400 COLOSSUS ($4M GTD) and its pot-limit Omaha cousin, the $400 PLOSSUS ($1M GTD).
COLOSSUS on course to follow the trend
Hold’em players looking to score a life-changing win for a buy-in that won’t break the bank are flocking to the $400 COLOSSUS, with the two-day tournament (plus a third day for the final table) on track to award more than the $4 million guaranteed. The tournament is an online equalivant to the live event at the WSOP in Las Vegas, which saw the 2025 winner receive over 1,000x his buy-in after his friends talked him into playing.
Of a total of 20 starting flights, exactly half of them are done and in the books, but the colossal prizepool is over halfway to being covered. 5,174 entries across 10 Day 1s put the COLOSSUS on course to surpass its hefty guarantee.
With many players likely to enter a late starting flight, closer to Day 2, we fully expect the $4M milestone to be reached, and breached. Direct satellites are available now, priced at $40.
Multiple starting flights are running daily at GGPoker at 2:30pm and 8:30pm CET (Central European Time), including a Last Chance Day 1 on September 15 at 5:30pm. This will feed directly into Day 2, which begins at 8pm on September 15. Day 2 will play down to the final table, which will resume the following day at 7pm.
