WSOP Online International: Igor Zemtsov wins COLOSSUS for $630K

Serbian online pro Igor Zemtsov has taken down one of the largest payouts to date in the ongoing WSOP Online International Series on GGPoker, which is three-quarters complete to date. Zemtsov, playing as 'zemapoker' from Russia, claimed his first career World Series of Poker gold bracelet and a $630,836.91 winner's prize in Event #22, $400 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em. The massive event pulled in 13,147 total entries, which in turn produced a prize pool approaching the $5 million mark ($4,943,272).

Zemtsov's largest recorded career win came at the expense of Japan's Ka Ho 'Jayden' Cheung, who busted to Zemtsov during heads-up play. Cheung earned $486,373.76 for second, while Italy's Candid Cappiello, playing from Austria as 'GENGAARR', finished in third for $375,051.49.

Japan's Batillem claims PLOSSUS gold

In Event #23, $400 PLOSSUS Pot-limit Omaha, Japan's Jetomo Sarah Batillem snared the bracelet in the PLO version of the COLOSSUS event, which was also run as a bounty tourney. Batillem's first-ever bracelet win was worth $145,228.78 in combined prize payout and bounties, with most of that total - $80,984.49 - coming from accumulated bounties during the event.

Israel's Uri Melzer claimed a combined total of $68,303.89 as the runner-up, while third-place finisher Pawel Babicz, of Poland, collected a combined $60,012.75. The PLOSSUS bounty tourney attracted 3,875 total entries and offered $1,457,000 in prize money.

Yacov wins PLO Championship for second career bracelet

While Events #22 and #23 were affordably priced, massive-field offerings, Event #24 was anything but, being the series' $10,000 PLO Championship event. As expected, this event drew a field of elite pros and PLO specialists which resulted in a loaded final table, and Israel's Amit Ben Yacov earned the second bracelet of his career along with a $317,941.30 payday.

German pro Dominik Nitsche, a four-time bracelet winner himself, just missed out on number five in this tourney while playing from Thailand. Nitsche still claimed $235,860.33 for the deep run. Hungary's Andras Nemeth finished third for $174,969.74 while playing from Austria, and Finnish PLO specialist Eelis Parssinen ended up fourth for $129.798.98.
