WSOP Online: Wenjie Huang wins first bracelet in $10K Heads-Up NLH

More results continue to be posted from the 2024 WSOP Online International bracelet series on GGPoker. Besides the festival's Online Championship and $25K Super High Roller events, where the final tables were streamed online for poker fans to watch, several other events have also been decided as the series rolls into its final days.

One of the most distinctive events of the series was Event #26, $10,000 NLH Heads-Up Championship, where China's Wenjie Huang emerged as the winner, surviving seven rounds of heads-up play to collect $366,892.80 and his first career WSOP bracelet. Huang outlasted the rest of the field, which was capped at 128 entrants and sold out well before play began, offering a $1,241,000 prize pool. The final 16 contestants cashed after winning their first three matches to reach that point.

Huang defeated Morocco's Mehdi Chaoui for the win, leaving Chaoui, who played from Vietnam, to collect runner-up winnings of $220,135.68. Russia‘s Ilia Kuteinikov and Croatia's Goran Mandic made the semifinals before losing and both earned third-place payouts of $122,297.60.

'durdy' takes down Superstack Turbo Bounty

In the fast-paced Event #25, $525 Superstack Turbo Bounty Hunter No-Limit Hold’em, 2,911 total entries produced a $1,455,500 prize pool. Russia's 'durdy', now identified as Vitaliy Pankov, collected a combined $129,787.03 for the victory, including the $74,336.39 first-place payout and $55,450.64 in accumulated bounties.

Durdy's victory was complete when he busted Georgia's Lazare Kalebashvili in heads-up play, leaving Kalebashvili to collect a combined $88,732.19. Wade 'JWNomad' Gillett, playing from Thailand, earned a combined $78,243.76 for third.

'anipantra' tops in Mystery Bounty PLO

In Event #27, $1,050 Mystery Bounty Pot Limit Omaha, two now-identified players from Israel took down the top two spots. Roei 'anipantra' Hertz earned the win, the bracelet, and $110,166.42 in combined prize and bounties after eliminating countryman Gabi 'kidrurim' Livshitz during heads-up action. Both players participated from Ireland. Kidrurim's near miss was worth a combined $75,763.22, while Germany's Max Neugebauer, playing from Austria, took third for a combined $90,136.82.

The event drew 1,069 entries and accumulated a $1,069,000 prize pool.
