The 2024 World Series might be over but the WSOP is keen to keep itself in the headlines.
On Thursday night, it was announced that GGPoker had bought the WSOP brand for a cool $500 million. Today, the WSOP has announced the full daily schedule for the second running of Paradise in the Bahamas this December.
The 15-event schedule (December 6-19) was posted on Friday evening and, in addition to the $1M buy-in Triton and the $25K Super Main events that had already been announced, the other headline news is the Super Saver $1M Invitational freeroll. Running as one of the final two events at Paradise, this freeroll is open to all bracelet holders who play in the $25K Super Main Event, $100K Early Bird purchasers (see below), and GGPoker package winners.
Early bird gets the room
The Early Bird packages offer a free suite for 14 days and entry into the Invitational if you deposit $100K onto the WSOP+ app before the end of September. Another bonus for players is available to all, no-matter how big your bankroll – a players lounge with complimentary lunch, diner, snacks and beverages.
The WSOP has advised that 3% of all tournament buy-ins will be "withheld for tournament staff, marketing and operational costs." However, following a brief interaction with high-stakes player Chris Brewer, Triton confirmed that the 'entry fee' posted for the two Triton events includes the staff fee and there won't be a further 3% deducted.
