Pittsburgh's Frank (Franco) Bonacci has claimed his first career WSOP gold bracelet by taking down the opening event in the WSOP.com Online Pennsylvania (PA) bracelet series, the $500 No-limit Hold'em 'Bankroll Builder'. The four-time WSOP Circuit ring winner earned $20,731.19.
Bonacci is best known in poker for making the final five tables of the 2023 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, where he logged a career-best $229,000 score, roughly a third of his $617,287 in lifetime live-event winnings.
Bonacci, a frequent WSOP.com PA participant who has logged triumphs in four WSOP.com PA Circuit ring events, topped 'ImShard' for the win in Sunday's Event #1, which took a little over eight hours to run to completion. 'ImShard' earned $14,940.45 as the event's runnerup, while 'controlchaos' earned $10,917.27 for finishing third.
WSOP.com PA Online's bracelet Event #1 drew 130 players, who combined to add an additional 87 re-entries and create a $97,650 prize pool. 36 players cashed in the event.
