In a clear effort to capitalize on the popularity of poker, partly fueled by COVID-19, which has sent online poker site traffic soaring, luxury designer Louis Vuitton has unveiled a Monogram Poker Case.

Inspired by the President attaché case, the poker chip set includes, chips, cards, money clip, and more. It allows you to carry your poker chips anywhere in style.

It will set you back, though. Priced at $24,000 USD, the poker chip set is a far cry from the Fat Cat 11.5 Gram Texas Hold’em Clay Poker Chip Set with Aluminum Case available on Amazon for roughly $40.

Louis Vuitton’s take on the poker set, however, ups the ante significantly. The suitcase-style poker case is made of wood, with a classic Monogram base accented by a cowhide leather trim. There’s also some additional detailing to add to the extravagance like gold-tone brass elements, a lock-closure, and a leather handle. Inside, poker players will find a red microfiber lining.

The Louis Vuitton poker set joins a list of expensive competing products that include the Cartier’s Bold Poker Set ($10,100), Lancelot Lancaster White – Buckingham Poker Box ($28,000), Cartier Mother of Pearl Poker Set ($29,000), Vintage Cartier Poker Set ($30,000), Geoffrey Parker Poker Set ($7.5 million) and a Meteorite Poker Set ($150,000). All prices are the estimated market value (2019).

While the $24,000 luxury poker set is clearly a niche product, it could be popular among online poker players looking to play the part of a wealthy player on streaming platforms like Twitch.

What’s more, with Las Vegas poker rooms still closed or operating at a very limited capacity, some players are itching for a way to spend their money on a lavish poker product and bring a little Vegas glitz and glamour to their home games (with social distancing compliance at top of mind).
