A vegan diet and exercise have kept Kid Poker in good health during the coronavirus lockdown
While trying to win one of the precious golden bracelets at the ongoing World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series, poker pro Daniel Negreanu has had great results with his physical health. For a long time, he has been advocating for adherence to a vegan diet and all the benefits that can come to the body for not eating meat-derived products. Recently, he said that most of his lockdown time had been spent between playing online poker and working out, which now seems evident through a series of pictures he posted on Twitter last week. The six-time WSOP bracelet winner showed off his new figure after losing nearly 40 pounds.
In his post, Negreanu - one of the best poker players in the world - tweeted five shirtless pictures to highlight his weight loss. The first one was taken in November 2019 when he returned from the WSOP Europe in Rozvadov; he weighed 176 pounds back then. Only nine months after that picture, Negreanu has lost nearly 40 pounds, dropping to 139, and his body looks in a lot better shape with defined muscles. He added that he will continue working on adding more muscle to his body - around 20-25 pounds of muscle, although some people thought that goal to be too ambitious.
Negreanu's career has been quite impressive. Only last year, he was the runner up for the WSOP Player of the Year title - he actually got it for a few days until a mistake was reported. With his participation in Las Vegas and Rozvadov, Negreanu reported total winnings of $2.2 million during the 2019 series. He finished second place in two separate WSOP events, missing the chance to get his seventh bracelet.
