The two poker players could take their continuing feud to the game that made them famous

The poker community is well aware of the long-lasting rivalry that has been going on between poker pros Doug Polk and Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu, and there is a chance that this feud might be settled in a heads-up battle. Polk, who retired from poker last year, did not retire from chasing Kid Poker around via tweets and YouTube videos, even less so during this present month in which Negreanu has been leading with a few angry outbursts that are not being well-received by the community. Polk now wants to put an end to this battle and has challenged Kid Poker to a Texas Hold'em heads-up match to finally determine who is the best player.

Their feud has been well-known for years. Actually, three years ago Negreanu insinuated in an interview that increased rake is good for players. His words were an inspiration for Polk to come up with his "More Rake is Better" movement that he used to mock his rival. He went as far as putting that slogan in a billboard outside the Rio in Las Vegas during the 2018 WSOP, and even wore a t-shirt with the same slogan on it while seated next to Negreanu. For the next two years, the back and forth assaults have continued and Polk seems to be ready to put some money where his mouth is.

"I officially challenge Dnegs to a HUNL battle. I am hoping to leave with both his money and my teeth still in my mouth," Polk then wrote after the initial tweet, which, shortly after, was retweeted at least 1,000 times. Negreanu is one of the best poker players of all times, with impressive live tournament winnings of $42 million, as well as six WSOP bracelets. However, in heads-up No-Limit Hold’em, his credentials fall short compared to Polk's, so he might not accept.
