The poker player is currently in first place with 68 points
The new PLO Poker Masters series closed an exciting week of events where Finnish poker pro Eelis Pärssinen has a huge lead over the rest. So far, eight events have been played and the overall scene has been dominated by Finnish players, and Pärssinen is 68 points ahead of the second-place hold by Jen Kyllonen with only five events remaining. Among the eight events, a total of $2.3 million have been awarded to the winners.
This online PLO series has a lot to offer to the participants besides the cash that's given away. There is also a free ticket into the $51,000-buy-in Poker Masters Online PLO Series Main event that comes with a huge guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million. Event #3 displayed quite a show for high-quality poker action with Kyllonen winning after being mostly short-stacked during his way into the final table. The final heads-up of the event was against Jonathan Depa, and Kyllonen ended up taking home the top prize of $212,000.
Event #5 was also great to watch.
It was almost ridiculous the high level of poker players sitting at the final table. Pro players like Britain’s Gavin Cochrane and Andrew Pantling, alongside Pärssinen. The final heads up had both Cochrane and Pärssinen fighting for the title, and Pärssinen emerged victorious with his share of the $1.1 million prize pool, taking home $440,000. For now, Pärssinen has cashed out in four events that have him comfortably in the lead, but there are plenty of other quality players also making their attempts to earn that first place, with Kyllonen on Pärssinen’s heels.
