Jim Reid is a prominent figure in the game who is mostly associated with the RecPoker Podcast. A passionate online poker enthusiast, Reid has made significant contributions to the poker community, dedicating his time to promoting the game, mentoring others and fostering a sense of camaraderie among poker fanatics within the RecPoker Community.
Reid’s journey into the world of poker started by playing for pennies when growing up in his native Toronto. Reid enrolled in college around the time of the Moneymaker boom, inspiring him to establish his university’s poker club. Reid and his club members staged weekly beginners’ games in his Halifax apartment.
Since his return to Ontario, Reid plays poker almost exclusively online under the moniker ‘BLUFFSTORINI’, focusing on micro-stakes cash games, as well as large-field multi-table tournaments and KO tournaments.
Despite not having made a major mark in the live poker scene, Reid established himself within the RecPoker Community, becoming a premium member in 2019 and eventually taking the reins as a podcast host and poker coach.
