There are plenty of poker players who rely on intuition and instinct; ‘feel’ players with the ability to crush the competition without crunching the numbers. Then there are others who sharpen their edge by drilling down into the math behind the cards.
Many successful players combine the two approaches, but less common are the ones who can not only do all of the above, but can also explain their thinking in a way that helps other players improve. And, rarest of all, the ones who actually want to.
Jonathan Little is one of those players. His career has seen him claim multiple seven-figure scores, taking down tournaments from Las Vegas to Prague, France, the Caribbean and his native Florida. Aside from tournament poker, he previously earned a living playing cash games in some of the most competitive poker rooms in Las Vegas.
While well-steeped in poker theory, Jonathan is also renowned for his resilience and mental strength. En route to his second WPT title in 2008 he broke the record for the tour’s longest final table (275 hands) as well as its longest heads-up match (170 hands).
He has nothing to prove when it comes to his abilities on the felt, and has become known as much for his reputation as a poker coach as for his exploits at the table. As the founder of PokerCoaching.com he is helping players at all levels improve their game, from teaching fundamentals to new players to developing complex ICM charts and publishing a raft of books on a range of poker topics.
