The long-time poker play is now in the top 20 on the UK’s poker winnings list
Several online poker events made this past weekend a busy one for most poker players. There are several great online offers around the world for players to choose from, which have also helped the traffic for online poker to increase exponentially amid the coronavirus pandemic. The increasing numbers of online competitions have given the opportunity for some of the best pro players in the world to climb up places in the current rankings. That's what has happened to the renowned pro player Luke Schwartz, who has recently reached the group of the top 20 poker players in the UK.
One of Schwartz’s biggest performances ever took place last week at the Super Tuesday event of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). He earned over $1 million for finishing third at that event. He also got an additional $10,500 prize for the No-Limit Single Draw event in which he finished in the same third place. Schwartz has definitely kept himself busy and his tournaments results seem to be getting better the more events he plays; Schwartz has cashed out several four-figure prizes - at least a dozen - at this point in the season.
Schwartz is currently in 18th place in the ranking of UK players, right ahead of Andy Wilson (19th place) and Paul Dando, who is in 20th place. Schwartz currently has 4,271 points and is behind Dan Charlton by just 1,000 points. His journey to first place, however, is not at all easy. That position has Conor Beresford sitting solidly, with no signs of slowing down. He has been participating at several SCOOP events and Sunday Rollers, and has enjoyed an incredible run in the last few weeks.
