Mario Mosbock

Mario Mosböck, born May 7, 1996 in Austria, devoted the early years of his life to a competitive pursuit entirely separate from the game of poker.

From a young age, Mosböck showed impressive skill on the soccer pitch – starting his youth career at SV Ratzersdorf before moving on to the academy at SKN St. Polten. Later, as a professional player, he made appearances in the first and second tiers of Austrian soccer for SKN St. Polten and SC Wiener Neustadt.

While soccer demanded a serious time commitment throughout much of Mosböck's early life, he still managed to discover poker – grinding freerolls on Full Tilt Poker before he could legally deposit money on to the site. Applying the same dedication he employed in his athletic aims, Mosböck studied the game intently and eventually spun up a sizable five-figure bankroll.

At 21, Mosböck opted to hang up his cleats and transitioned to poker as a full-time pursuit. Mosböck's involvement with PokerCode – the training platform founded by Fedor Holz, Matthias Eibinger, and Steffen Sontheimer – and its Grindhouse training program led to swift and steady improvements. In short order, Mosböck found himself battling at the highest level against top opponents in both the live and online arenas – never one to shy away from a competitive environment.

In the years since, Mosböck has established himself as a force-to-be-reckoned with on the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series. In the fall of 2023, Mosböck notched his first Triton title with a $1,438,000 victory in the $40,000 NLH Mystery Bounty at the tour’s stop in Monte Carlo. The following spring, he added a second title in Jeju, claiming the $1,191,196 first-place prize in the $25,000 NLH GGMillion$ event. Nearly one year later, Mosböck hit paydirt in Jeju again, taking home his third title and the $1,836,570 first-place prize in the $50,000 NLH 7-Handed.

Mosböck currently serves as an Ambassador for both CoinPoker and Triton Poker.
