Martin Kabrhel is a professional poker player and entrepreneur from the Czech Republic, well known for his skill in both the cash game and tournament arenas, as well as his polarizing table presence. Born on November 17 in Litomyšl, Czech Republic, Kabrhel studied Mathematics at Charles University in Prague.
Kabrhel’s record of live tournament cashes stretches back to 2009. A string of first-place finishes – $278,388 at the Poker EM European Poker Championship in October, $86,519 at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Vilamoura in November, and $149,867 at EPT Prague in December – saw his career start with a resounding bang.
In the years since, Kabrhel has continued to put up big numbers in the tournament streets – including multiple World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, many of which have come in events held at WSOP Europe. Many of Kabrhel's biggest cashes have come in super high roller fields, but his skills in lower buy-in, large-field events deserve recognition as well. In 2025, he topped the 10,794-entrant field in the WSOP Mini Main Event to claim the $843,140 first-place prize and his 5th WSOP bracelet.
Kabrhel’s success in poker tournaments has earned him millions of dollars – more than enough to reach the top of the Czech Republic’s All-Time Money List.
While Kabrhel has distinguished himself with his poker acumen, his antics on the felt have drawn ire from some in the poker community. Whether it’s accusations of improper behavior or his unending tirades of verbal banter, Kabrhel has ruffled feathers in large-field events and super high roller tournaments alike. For the most part, Kabrhel’s table talk stays lighthearted and comedic, but sometimes he veers into the gray area – and that’s where the problems arise.
There are also those who find Kabrhel’s style of play entertaining. The Czech professional’s appearances on live-streamed games such as Hustler Casino Live have earned him a legion of loyal fans – all of whom delight in watching his chaos reign supreme over a cash game table.
Kabrhel’s talents extend beyond the felt as well. When he’s not busy riling up a poker room, Kabrhel involves himself with business and entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2018, he founded Ematiq, a technology and data analytics firm. Later, in 2020, he co-founded the Czech eSports organization Entropiq.
