Ren Lin

Ren 'Tony' Lin is a Chinese-born professional poker player now residing in New York, NY. With a charasmatic table presence and fearless play style, Lin is a fan favorite and well-regarded member of the high stakes poker community.

Lin began his live poker career in 2015, starting as a low-to-mid stakes grinder in Las Vegas as he built his bankroll and refined his overall tournament strategy. Through the next five years, he flew largely under the radar as he progressed through the game. Then, in 2021, he had a breakout summer at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). With fourteen cashes – including a third-place finish in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em and a runner-up finish in the $50,000 High Roller – Lin announced himself on the scene.

From there, he became a regular player on the PokerGO Tour (PGT), amassing over $14M in earnings since 2021. Lin has also found success on the Asian Poker Tour (APT), playing consistently at tour stops across the continent.

In October of 2025, Lin ran into hot water when he admitted to providing real-time assistance to a friend, 'RealOA', who was at the final table of a GGMillion$ event on GGPoker. While many applauded Lin for his honesty, GGPoker had no choice but to suspend his account indefinitely. 'RealOA' received a permanent ban.

Lin handled the incident with integrity, apologizing for his wrongdoing and accepting all consequences and responsibility. GGPoker confiscated 'RealOA's' winnings from the event and Lin personally paid $96,380 to cover the money removed from the prize pool. In recognition of his transparency and goodwill, GGPoker lifted Lin's suspension after only seven weeks.

Lin currently represents WPT Global as an ambassador for the online poker platform.
