The win secures a spot at the Global Casino Championship for the online player
Poker players located in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware are currently in the middle of the World Series of Poker (WSOP).com Online Finale Circuit Series, which has just concluded its seventh tournament out of the 12-ring events that will wrap up on June 14. Event #7, the $150,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit High Roller 6-Max 2x Re-entry with a $1,000 buy-in, doubled its guaranteed for a total prize pool of $277,905 paid to the first 30 places. The winner who took the top prize home is Shawn "Saygoodnight" Daniels, who earned his second WSOP Circuit ring and a $75,034 first-place prize.
The tournament reported 187 registered players and a total of 104 rebuys for a total of 291 entries to double the guarantee. The minimum cash paid to the players in the money was $2,528. Daniels, besides winning a cash prize and a circuit ring, also got a sure spot in the online Global Casino Championship. For Daniels, this was also his second-best cash prize in the poker scene; he won $101,000 cash at the 2017 WSOP Main Event in which he finished in 72nd place.
Other renowned names in the poker community were playing that same event as Krista "Pollux" Gifford - who finished second - and Justin "LappyPoker" Lapka - who finished in the ninth place. Other players who also cashed out from this event are Eric "biueberry" Elliott, James "meatsweats" Carroll and William "swaggyb" Corvino, who did not make it to the final table.
Coming next are two events with a $100,000 guarantee at $215 and $320 buy-ins. Event #8: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH 2x Re-entry and Event #9: $100,000 GTD Online Finale Circuit NLH 2x Re-entry will take place today and tomorrow, respectively.
